Twitch Cookie Notice – Plain-Language Summary

Twitch uses several types of small tracking files called cookies on its website and apps. These include temporary cookies that disappear when you close your browser, and persistent ones that can last up to 13 months after your last visit. Cookies are used for three main purposes: keeping the site working (staying logged in, remembering your preferences), measuring how people use the site (analytics), and showing you targeted ads.

Third-party cookies are a key point here. Twitch lets outside companies — including Amazon, Salesforce, comScore, and Branch — place their own cookies directly on your device. Once placed, Twitch says it has no control over and no access to the data those cookies collect. That data is governed entirely by those third parties' own privacy policies, not Twitch's.

You may see a cookie consent banner when you first visit twitch.tv, but only depending on your location — not everyone gets one. If you do, you can revisit your choices via Settings > Security and Privacy > Cookie Preferences. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but Twitch warns that disabling cookies may break parts of the service.
