Copilot Money Privacy Policy — Plain-Language Summary

What this app does with your data depends on where you use it. Inside the Copilot app itself, your financial data (bank accounts, transactions, balances, budgets, goals) is treated with strong protections: it is never sold, never used to target ads at you, and never shared with third parties for marketing. This is a meaningful commitment and worth noting.

On the marketing side, it's a different story. Copilot's public website and registration flow use standard advertising technology — cookies, tracking pixels, and hashed email addresses — to run targeted ads on platforms like Google, Facebook, and Instagram. Your IP address and a hashed version of your email may be sent to these platforms so they can show you Copilot ads elsewhere. This is common practice, but it means some of your data does flow to ad networks outside the app.

Your financial data is processed by AI and third-party partners. When you connect a bank account, you're doing so through partners like Plaid or Finicity — Copilot never sees your bank login credentials directly. Copilot also uses AI tools (like large language models) to help process your information, though it says vendors do not use your data to train their AI models. Analytics tools like Google Analytics and Amplitude are also used across the Services.

You have real deletion and access rights, especially if you live in California or one of 18 other named US states. You can ask Copilot to show you, correct, or delete your data by emailing privacy@copilot.money. You can also opt out of targeted advertising via a link on their website, though you must redo this opt-out on every browser/device you use and again if you clear cookies.
