Brave
Brave Leo tab context now shares full URLs and browsing history passages, not just tab origins
The description of what Brave Leo sends to its servers when helping with tab-related tasks has changed significantly. The old policy said Leo's "Tab Focus mode" sent only "the titles and origins (not full URLs) of your open non-Private/non-Tor tabs." The new policy describes "tab management & history modes" and says Leo now sends full URLs — and also includes titles, URLs, and text passages from your tab history when using history mode.
If you use Leo's tab management or history features, more of your browsing data is now sent to Brave's servers than before. Previously, only the site origin (e.g., example.com) was shared — not the exact page address or any page content. Now, full URLs and excerpts of text from pages in your browsing history can be sent. This is a meaningful expansion of what leaves your device when you interact with Leo.
